An idea worth spreading

"Dress for the job you want, not the job you have." A quote by Edith Head who is an American costume designer with more than eight Academy Awards for Best Costume Design, this something that a few people live by. Unfortunate as it may seem, lots of people neglect or even worse consider it "too feminine" to dress well and ace something that one is doing. It is definitely true that first impressions do matter and how one dresses is a psychological factor which influences most people sub-consciously and someone dressing sloppy does more harm than good and one study also proved that 70% of people in the world trust a person with their money who is better dressed than an other. On a contrary, the knowledge that a person has or the experience one possess do matter more than mere superficial glamour, but you would not want to lose your dream job or the person you love to someone who has lesser talent but is better dressed than you, would you? So to stay miles ahead of the crowd running with you in this rat race we call life, it would not harm you to dress sharp ace any opportunity that comes by you because we all know that opportunity knocks the door only once.

The TED story

As a 3 year old, I was gifted a 2000 Ferrari 360 Modena toy (which was extremely expensive at the time) by my uncle who kept travelling abroad. A week later he found the toy completely dismantled and me playing with the car's engine. Apart from learning a fact never gift kids expensive toys, he also discovered my love for cars. There was no stopping me, I went ahead and got into an Engineering college specialising in Mechanical Engineering to live my dream about building a 0 emission car. It was during this period that I discovered something called "Entrepreneurship" and building a brand. I had now found my path to my dream and started working towards it. One of my friend, an ardent poet and a fellow engineer told me it was high time that I attend a TED Talk and I had found heaven on earth. TEDxHyderabad 2018. A plethora of people from all around the world sharing their ideas and for the first time in my life, I could feel people relating to my struggles during my journey as a partner in a company. There were so many new things I could learn in one day and I did not let even a second go in vain. I had interacted with people who quit their high paying jobs to help the farmers of their country as well as a person who is the highest paid dancer. By the end of the event I learnt that what matter is not about how much you earn or what you do for yourself or for the needy, what matters is finding something that you are passionate about and something you would live and die for. If you have found that, you already are the champion of your life.
