Bio
Founder and executive director of Big Car, a nonprofit creativity and livability organization based in Indianapolis, I work as a designer, public artist, photographer, writer and consultant. I started my career as a newspaper reporter, finishing as an arts writer for The Indianapolis Star in 2007. Along the way, I completed an MFA at Warren Wilson College and began showing artwork in galleries and museums. I'm part of the Indianapolis cluster of CEOs for Cities, a national project focused on helping American urban centers.
I'm passionate about
As a public artist, my mission is to share the joy of creativity with as many people as I can — helping them feel truly connected with the arts.
An idea worth spreading
I believe everybody of all backgrounds should have access to engaging and fun creative and cultural experiences. Everybody should get to build, grow, write, talk, make and play. I believe that sharing the joy of creativity and the skills that come with creative experiences will help people succeed and help make our world a better place.
