Scott Rappaport

Hello! I am Scott Rappaport and I am a 16 year old highschool student from Staten Island, New York. I am a pretty average (but short) teenager who aims to achieve the extraordinary every day.

Making sure that the voices of youth can be magnified and heard on issues affecting us all.

Everyone is placed on this planet with intrinsic value, and our job as humans is to help find the value in our lives and the lives of those we affect.

My TED story began because I wanted to make a change in my community. All throughout the news, I heard politicians and commentators speaking about issues regarding America’s youth, such as gun control and educational reform. However, when claims were made about the future of America, I was surprised to see that youth were never really consulted on their views. I
