Corinne Warnshuis

Corinne is a passionate advocate for community-centered movements and believes in their power to change the world. She is the first Executive Director of Girl Develop It, a national nonprofit that creates welcoming, supportive opportunities for women and non-binary adults to learn software development skills. Prior to becoming ED in 2014, she co-led GDI's Philadelphia chapter to become one of the organization's largest and most active. Corinne has spoken at the White House, Dreamforce, Lesbians Who Tech Summit, GitHub's Code Conf, OSCON, Node + JS Interactive, RedHat Summit, and more. Previously, she worked in community engagement at tech news network, Technically Media, helping to produce large-scale technology conferences like Philly Tech Week and Baltimore Innovation Week; and at WHYY, Philadelphia’s NPR and PBS affiliate. As a first-generation college student, Corinne graduated from University of California—Santa Cruz with a degree in Sociology and Film & Digital Media. Shortly after, she moved to Philadelphia. She currently lives in Old City with her husband, Michael, and their two cats.
