Ramon Rubio

Educator/Teacher, Engineer

Ramon Rubio was born in Gijon (Spain) in 1974. After finishing his engineering studies at University of Oviedo in 2000, Dr. Rubio became part of the research staff at that university. The following year he was taken on as a teacher in the Construction and Manufacturing Engineering Department. In 2003 he presented his thesis on CAD and teaching innovation. In 2018 he has set up the new MediaLab at University of Oviedo and is acting now as its chairman. Projects undertaken in the MediaLab (www.medialab-uniovi.es) are aligned with Asturian regional interests (RIS3) which is a new step in technological, social and humanistic training. MediaLab has managed more than 60 social projects and 100 residents have worked there in different projects related to technology and creativity. I love to know the nature of things!
