Bio
As a social innovation designer, Jenn blends business strategy, behavior change theory, the art of storytelling and the power of design to build issue-based campaigns and interventions that drive positive social change.
She loves making sense of data, clarifying the challenge, designing interventions, convening the right people, leveraging the latest technology and ultimately, inspiring collective action that leads to behavior change.
Jenn has partnered with governments and non-profits at the city, state, regional and national levels to design engagement strategies and campaigns targeting Millennials, civic leaders, educators, nurses, elected officials and the general public.
Through her work, Jenn has helped raise the Millennial voice, spark a conversation on regional transit, encourage more people to bicycle, get more kids reading by third grade, convene and inspire civic leaders, create more empathy in the classroom, improve the well-being of families and communities and help bridge the 30 million word gap.
Jenn is co-founder and Curator of Civic Dinners - a platform for connecting people who care to conversations that matter. Since dinner parties were the original social network, we believe today's technology can bring people together, face-to-face, to talk about complex issues and drive action.
Jenn frequently gives talks on design thinking and civic innovation and spoke about "ideas into action" at TEDGlobal in 2012. She lives in Atlanta and is married to a Kiwi. She spends most of her free time reading, hosting dinner parties and cruising on the Atlanta BeltLine with her husband.

The TED story
TEDxSummit 2012 was a game changing moment for me. Getting to collaborate with over 90 other TEDx organizers from around the world on Action Teams was by far the most amazing and rewarding times of my life. I helped lead the "Ideas into Action" team focused on building a platform that would help elevate ideas and actions around the world.
