Bio
Originally from Nepal, presently living in Japan; in love with Japan and Japanese people. Dilip was educated in Australia and the USA and studied social science and political science. Currently runs an NGO with his sister to educate poor children and build safe houses for girls who are victims of sex trafficking. He is also the founder/organizer/curator for TEDx in Sapporo Japan: a global initiative of the non profit organization TED.
After travelling for a year all over south East Asia, he settled in Tokyo and worked for advertising production company as a Cultural Curator. There he grew the love for film and production both business and industry. Later he moved to Northern Japan and start a NGO to support the social issues in his country, Nepal. There he learned how to combine networking, global connections and his passion for the film industry to pave his success in becoming one of the TEDx representatives outside the USA . Being a global citizen he has worked with The City of Sapporo creating awareness about centralized issues such as growing suicide rates, poverty, urban planning and immigration policy. The core of his passion lies in motivating and mentoring students, teachers and other creative souls. He has done this through bringing TEDx to Universities and consulting with various innovators, helping them create pathways. At the end of the day he is just a simple man whose inspirations are driven by his love for his son.
