The TED story
The process of organizing the first Tedx event in QDHS is a process of enhancing my understanding of Tedx as well. Initially, my understanding of it was only limited to a platform of sharing personal ideas to the general public and I even didn't know what's the acronym "Ted" stands for. During the process of organizing the team, I not only helped to make sure of the stage, the equipment, the audience, etc, but also the speakers. When they received feedbacks from teachers, I was always there to listen. Gradually, through each feedback and the improvement of speakers, I understood that Tedx was not just a simple platform and when speakers stood on the stage; superficially, they were just giving speeches; further, they tried to engage themselves into the speeches and inspired the audience worldwide to take action.
As an organizer, I got much pressure. However, as Tedx grew in QDHS, I also developed my skills. As for me, I believe it's worth trying both the experiences of organizing an Tedx event and giving powerful speeches.
