I am a licensed marriage and family therapist, registered art therapist, mediator for Johnson County, Kansas and founder of Heartland Art Therapy at the InterUrban ArtHouse in Overland Park, Kansas.
The TED story
I became a TEDx organizer in 2011. I missed the opportunity for tickets for a local TEDx event, and when I looked at the TED website for another option, I discovered I could become a TEDx organizer. I enjoy bringing my community together for something as meaningful as TEDx. Sharing the gifts of local superheroes on the TEDx platform offers a venue for their work and wisdom to spread globally. Participating in a profound global conversation, made possible when our technology is put to good use, feels like pure magic.
