Bio
Donna Lee Granville is an accidental sociologist who believes that the intersection of history and biography is the key to understanding what happens in our lives individually and collectively. As a sociologist, Donna teaches courses at CUNY-Brooklyn College that are geared towards helping students of all ages and backgrounds discover how history and biography connect in their own lives—making them a unique human form with a distinct purpose to fulfill. By telling her story as a first generation college graduate and 1.5 generation immigrant, Donna encourages students to boldly tell their own stories as a form of liberation, an invitation to progress and a way to practice sociology.
