About Florencia

I am a…

Change Agent, Journalist, Writer/Editor

Bio

Officially, I have been a journalist since 1996, when I graduated from the Universidad del Salvador. But this has been going on for a long time before. I was born and raised among journalists: my grandfather and my father, in Gualeguay and Gualeguaychú (Province of Entre Ríos), were the ones that taught me to love this profession (which I consider the best in the world). I literally spent half my life in Argentina's La Nación newspaper, until the end of July 2017. There I wrote in the General Information, Foreign Affairs, Politics, Economics and Foreign Trade sections for 22 years before becoming Editor. I made research notes, interviews and special productions for the paper edition and multimedia content for the website. I specialized in international trade, negotiations, emerging markets, new trends in trade (internationalization of companies, emergence of the new global middle class, global value chains, etc) and entrepreneurs. I was and accredited journalist in the House of Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I did international coverage as a special correspondent in Italy, Belgium, Spain, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Israel, Lebanon, Egypt, United States, China, Brazil, Bolivia, Uruguay and Colombia, among other destinations. I'm passionate about learning! I deeply enjoy cultural diversity and discovering things about the Fourth Revolution, everything about China and the impact of technology on everyday life. Travel and photography are two of my favorite hobbies. In the second half of my life I decided to experience firsthand the entrepreneurial path I so often wrote about. I'll let you know how it goes.
