About TED-Ed

TED-Ed — TED's youth and education initiative — aims to spark and celebrate the ideas and knowledge-sharing of teachers and students around the world. Everything TED-Ed does supports learning — whether it's producing a growing video library of original animated lessons, providing an international platform for teachers to create their own interactive lesson plans, helping curious students around the globe bring TED to their schools and gain presentation literacy skills, or celebrating innovative leadership within TED-Ed’s global network of over 250,000 teachers. TED-Ed has grown from an idea worth spreading into an award-winning education platform that serves millions of teachers and students around the world.

TED-Ed original content

TED-Ed Originals are our signature content: short, award-winning animated videos about ideas and research that spark the curiosity of learners everywhere. Every TED-Ed Original represents a creative collaboration between experts in their field. Such experts may include TED Speakers and TED Fellows, as well as educators, designers, animators, screenwriters, directors, academic researchers, science writers, historians, journalists and editors. These original animated videos, paired with questions and resources to promote further research, make up what we refer to as TED-Ed Lessons.

TED-Ed Clubs

The TED-Ed Clubs program supports students in discovering, researching, exploring and presenting their big ideas in the form of short, TED-style talks. We invite the most compelling speakers from TED-Ed Clubs to New York twice a year. Each club also receives TED-Ed's flexible public speaking curriculum and opportunities to connect with a global network of passionate youth about ideas worth sharing.

TED-Ed website

The TED-Ed platform allows users to take any TED Talk, TED-Ed Lesson or educational video and easily create a lesson plan of customized questions and discussions. Users can then distribute these lessons, publicly or privately, and track their impact on the world, a class or an individual student.
